As implied by the subject name, it is concerned with the construction and structures of buildings, namely commercial and smaller multistorey buildings. SITE VISIT 1: Bunnings Warehouse

Bunnings Warehouse: Long Span Construction

Bunnings Warehouse is an example of long-span commercial construction, through the application of Portal Frames. Portal Frames allow unhindered spans of space through the creation of a knee joint (bottom image), which assists in taking and directing significant loads.
